June 21st is a very peculiar day in France. In addition to being the summer solstice in the northern hemisphere, the longest day of the year in France is marked by a great celebration: the music festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On June 21, people can play music freely on the street, without having to ask permission from the city hall until 23:59 on the same day. Anyone and everyone can have their own party. And they take it very seriously! Several associations come together to make a super program. For example, this year there will be a giant karaoke in the main square of the city. Yes, a giant karaoke!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And it's total madness. Every twenty meters is a different song. All styles and tribes are accepted. Last year was my first music party, and I think I can say that it is a carnival day with no rules! Every place is a place, every song is music and everybody is a DJ!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The music festival was created and has been taking place in every city in France since 1982, and more than 110 countries around the world have also joined the celebration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the atmosphere is festive, it is not a holiday. However, some companies close earlier and release employees to enjoy or organize the party!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
